Mike is an experienced innovation and creative strategy leader with over 20 years of working at the intersection of community, technology, and social impact. With a background spanning major media and innovation agencies as well as senior roles in housing and public services in Wales, Mike brings a unique blend of creative thinking, strategic insight, and practical delivery expertise.
As Innovation Lead at Hafod Housing, he led pioneering, co-produced projects focused on housing, sustainability, and community wellbeing—most notably shaping new place-based service models and leading retrofit and decarbonisation work rooted in the lived experience of residents. Mike has also worked with a wide range of grassroots organisations, helping to design and deliver solutions that respond to real community challenges, from fuel poverty and digital inclusion to preventing the closure of vital local spaces.
Prior to joining Hafod, Mike spent over a decade in London’s creative and technology sectors, where he led award-winning projects for national public sector clients and built strong cross-sector partnerships across communications, behaviour change and emerging tech.
Mike brings an open, collaborative and people-first approach to all his work, with deep values in social justice and a firm belief that creativity, innovation and community power can drive long-term, sustainable change.
