The idea
The City & County of Swansea Council required support to review its Morriston conservation area to develop a character assessment, a review of the boundary and to develop a conservation area report to inform planning decisions.
What we did
We conducted a detailed study of the area, informed by walking the area, detailed desk-based study, key stakeholder interviews, and community consultations. As part of the study we established a Facebook page for residents to input their thoughts and ideas and to inform them of the process. We then produced a detailed report for the Council.
Results of our work
Our work was very well received by the client and has been fully adopted as supplementary planning guidance. You can view the final version by clicking here.
