Lucy has worked as a part-time Project Officer for University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) managing the Creative Bubble project – a joint initiative with Swansea BID that promotes student entrepreneurship via pop-up shops, performances & exhibitions. It also seeks to impact upon Swansea economically, socially and culturally.
She was Project Manager for Olion (an Arts Council Wales/ESF £500,000 Reach the Heights initiative) – this involved working with a number of arts organisations to set up art-based projects with young people who were NEET (not in education, employment or training).
Lucy has also led on the marketing of the University’s European funded MADE Industry 4.0 initiative.
Prior to returning to Swansea, she worked as a Senior Account Manager at The Gate Worldwide (advertising agency) for 7 years in London. Here she worked on numerous advertising accounts including Legal & General, Investec Group, Welsh Development Agency, IFA Promotion, Universal Records and Scope. This involved managing the TV & radio commercials, press ads and direct mail requirements of clients. Highlights included spending time in South Africa to create a TV campaign for Investec (the iconic zebra) and launching the ‘Time to Get Equal’ campaign for the charity Scope.
