Pop-up Wales

Case Study

Bringing empty spaces back to life.

OUR IMPACT

PopUp Wales brings empty spaces and new ideas together, giving businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations the chance to test, start and grow, while bringing activity back to town centres.

Working with local authorities and property owners across Wales, the programme has turned vacant units into shops, studios, creative spaces and new opportunities.

FROM POP-UP TO PERMANENT

Blue Marble Refill, Carmarthen

Blue Marble Refill used PopUp Wales to test a larger retail space in Carmarthen, giving the business an opportunity to reach more customers and see whether the move could work longer term.

It did.

The business went on to secure a five-year lease on the property and now shares the space with a local arts collective, turning a temporary opportunity into a permanent, collaborative high street business.

EMPTY SPACES. NEW BUSINESSES. LASTING CHANGE.

Blue Marble Refill is one example of what PopUp Wales is designed to do: create opportunities for people to try something, prove an idea and take the next step while bringing empty spaces back into use.
