Nathan Brenton

Nathan Brenton

Nathan has joined as as our assistant overseeing our Swansea Library of Things project in the Swansea Quadrant shopping centre – a part of our wider PopUpWales initiative. He has gained customer service and hospitality work experience from a variety of backgrounds and has even served as a brewer for Tiny Rebel, where he brewed over half a million pints of beer!

In 2021, Nathan graduated from Cardiff University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. While in university, he helped with the Student Mentor Scheme as a student mentor, which gave first-year students a friendly and informal contact point where they could receive advice and information about their course. He also founded the student union’s skateboarding society and organised events which provided a group in which students with an interest in skateboarding can meet other passionate skaters. Events included meetups at local skate spots, trips to the local indoor skatepark and a discount night at Cardiff’s independent skate shop, Cardiff Skateboard Club.

In his free time, he continues skateboarding whenever possible as well as picking up any skills that take his interest. In the past he has learned to produce music and homebrew beer and currently, he is learning programming and web development. He also has an extensive collection of vinyl records which he listens to regularly and loves crate-digging at record shops for hidden gems.
