Tara Tarapetian BA (Hons)
Tara joined us in 2015. She is an experienced event coordinator and manager, and has led for us on a series of regular, large outdoor events for a range of clients, as well as heading up several of our own events and initiatives.
Through Tara’s development of our Uplands Market and Marina Market they have become brands that are loved by their customers and the communities in which they operate, attracting thousands of people each month and with rave reviews. Under Tara’s guidance Uplands Market has gone on to be recognised as one of the top 10 street markets in the UK by the Daily Telegraph, twice runner up in the Observer Food Monthly Awards, and the BBC Food and Farming awards Welsh nominee, alongside local awards. Uplands was also voted the 14th hippest place to live in the UK in a Travel Supermarket survey, with much of the credit being given to the thriving market – one of the largest in Wales.
Tara also led on the creation of a series of events, from creation of indoor parks to arts activities, street food pop-ups and evening street food markets for clients including Swansea University, Natural Resources Wales, BeWonder*, and Swansea Business Improvement District. She is also the creative mind behind the look and feel of our Unit Nineteen pop-up project. Tara has also supported the development of new eco-clothing range and conscious company; Last Clothing working in partnership with University of Wales Trinity Saint David students through our Academy. Tara has also supported our work for place regeneration projects for Pobl housing and the Milford Haven Port Authority.
Tara has a First Class Degree with Honours and experience in the creative industries involving innovative design work and creative pattern drafting technical skills. As well as her event management work she has a passion for fashion design and experience in the high end fashion industry, and has produced and exhibited her own collections.
